We've had a brilliant team working on transforming Lutterell Hall into a fit for purpose community facility. It looks absolutely amazing! Some of the hard core grafters have been Tim & Lauretta Beharall, Paul Buckland, Chell Tarry, Rich Smith, Clare Cooper, Emma Piggins, Sarah & Simon Taylor and our new site mananger Simon all headed up by the fabulous Sof Lesiuk. Sorry if we missed anyone, there's been lots of faces helping and we appreciate all the work you've done.
Rich has gutted the bar, cleaned everything and sorted out all the glasses etc to get it all ready for opening. He also cleaned and sorted the kitchen after new ovens and hobs were installed.
The cafe area is now completely finished, Tim created all the new wooden panelling and Lauretta arranged all the furnishings.
Cathy and Kate worked with 200 degrees coffee to get a state of the art coffee machine installed in the bar area.
The main hall was finished by professional painters and decorators and the new paint job really emphasises the architectural detail in the ceiling and gives it a fresh new look.
There are brand new lights and a brand new PA system in the hall.
The reception area has been transformed and is now a warm and welcoming entrance to the building. This is where Sofs will be based.
Work is almost complete on the meeting room upstairs which will soon be available to hire for board meetings/ conferences and will be kitted out with all the technology required for this service.
There has been lots of interest in the hall and bookings for wedding / parties have already started to come in. Almost all of the previous regular hirers of the hall are returning and have been very impressed with the work that has been undertaken.
Many passers by have also commented on the positive changes that have happened to the building over the last few weeks and the local community appear to be happy with the changes we have made
We have also hosted our first few events watching the England Euro '21 games on the big screens with the bar open for drinks.
