One of our Rock groups enjoying the sunshine

SUNDAY SERVICES: As well as enjoying some warmer weather this month we have

continued to have some awesome services on-site and online.  We finished our 'Multiply' sermon series,  the last 7 weeks we have heard some inspiring messages, challenging and teaching us how God can multiply our giftings for His purpose.  All the messages are available on our website.  We recently did a service for Notts TV, who have been showing church services on their channel every Sunday morning. We highlighted the service but you can watch the whole thing on our YouTube channel.  We also celebrated the men in the church on Father's day and welcomed The Godfather, John Pettifor, to The Rock to preach.

EGM & RPM: We took the opportunity to have an Extraordinary General Meeting combined with our Rock Prayer Meeting this month.  Hearing about leadership, buildings, vision and what post pandemic church looks like.  We then prayed into these areas to end the night.

ROCK GROUPS: Our small groups leaders have been amazing over the last year, keeping their groups running over Zoom and checking that the people in their groups are doing okay.  A few groups have started to meet in person either for their group, walks together or meals out.  Each week they connect together to grow in God through prayer, worship, fellowship and talking about the word from the Sunday service.  This gives time for people to go a little a deeper, ask questions and explore faith together.  If you consider The Rock to be your home and aren't in small group but would like to be please get in touch with Kate Kent.

FELLAS 5-A-SIDE:  As well as their weekly Fight Back nights the guys have been taking to the pitch and having a weekly game of 5-a-side football together.  This has been a great way to connect with new men to the church and friends of current members.

We've had a brilliant team working on transforming Lutterell Hall into a fit for purpose community facility. It looks absolutely amazing!  Some of the hard core grafters have been Tim & Lauretta Beharall, Paul Buckland, Chell Tarry, Rich Smith, Clare Cooper, Emma Piggins, Sarah & Simon Taylor and our new site mananger Simon all headed up by the fabulous Sof Lesiuk.  Sorry if we missed anyone, there's been lots of faces helping and we appreciate all the work you've done.

Rich has gutted the bar, cleaned everything and sorted out all the glasses etc to get it all ready for opening.  He also cleaned and sorted the kitchen after new ovens and hobs were installed.

The cafe area is now completely finished, Tim created all the new wooden panelling and Lauretta arranged all the furnishings.

Cathy and Kate worked with 200 degrees coffee to get a state of the art coffee machine installed in the bar area.

The main hall was finished by professional painters and decorators and the new paint job really emphasises the architectural detail in the ceiling and gives it a fresh new look.

There are brand new lights and a brand new PA system in the hall.

The reception area has been transformed and is now a warm and welcoming entrance to the building. This is where Sofs will be based.

Work is almost complete on the meeting room upstairs which will soon be available to hire for board meetings/ conferences and will be kitted out with all the technology required for this service.

There has been lots of interest in the hall and bookings for wedding / parties have already started to come in.  Almost all of the previous regular hirers of the hall are returning and have been very impressed with the work that has been undertaken.

Many passers by have also commented on the positive changes that have happened to the building over the last few weeks and the local community appear to be happy with the changes we have made

We have also hosted our first few events watching the England Euro '21 games on the big screens with the bar open for drinks.
