If you're thinking of visiting our Sunday Service in Edwalton, we have put together the following questions and answers so you know what to expect.
Please note that some weeks we have additional evening services and twice a year we join with other network churches in Nottingham for a joint celebration service. Please view the calendar on the bottom of our home page to double check when and where our services are.
We meet at The Rock Hub on Wellin Lane in Edwalton. See the Map and directions on this page. Our address is 13-15 Wellin Lane. (Postcode for Sat Navs is NG12 4AS.)
If you are coming by bus, then the city bus green line number 6 terminates just 200 yards from The Rock Hub. See the timetable here.
Doors open at 10am - you are welcome to arrive anytime after that. The service starts at 10.30am exactly (preceded by a 3 minute countdown on the big screen) and finishes around 12pm. You are invited to stay afterwards to enjoy a chat over some refreshments or make use of our prayer team who would be happy to pray for you.
There is visitor's parking round the back of the building, please do make use of this as priority. If the car park is full then you can park on the road. Either way, look out for our car parking stewards in hi-vis jackets, they will point you in the right direction.
Yes, both in the ladies, disabled and creche toilets. Please ask a steward for help or to point you in the right direction if needed.
Yes. We have a creche area for babies. This is accessed via the main hall through the door at the back of the room. You are welcome to use this facility at any time. It is unmanned, but there is a live video link to the service so you don't have to miss out on anything.
Yes. Our Rock Stars (Reception - Year 5) go out before the sermon for fun, interactive, faith based session with our leaders.
Rock Steady Crew (under 16's) go out before the preach for a session exploring faith and the bible.
There is ramped access from the back of the car park round to the front entrance. There is a disabled toilet also.
There are no set seating plans, you can sit wherever you feel most comfortable, including the soft seating around the back of the hall.
No. Come as you feel comfortable - jeans and T-shirt wouldn't be out of place, but feel free to come smart if that is your preferred style!
After a brief welcome, we will sing song a few songs - usually modern worship songs that help people connect with God. Then we receive an offering from our members (we don’t expect visitors to give, but you are welcome to).
Next up, could be any one of several things happening. It may be communion (normally the first Sunday of the month), a ministry being showcased, people coming into membership, someone being honoured or a time for members to share about an answer to prayer, a healing or a breakthrough.
COMING IN TO LAND
Towards the end of the service someone preaches a message with the intention of speaking a word from God straight into people’s lives. This normally lasts around 30 minutes, makes use of multimedia and leaves you with something to apply in your life.
At the end of our service we like to leave space and time for people to be prayed for and ministered to by God. Whether its a physical, spiritual, or emotional need, we will gladly pray for anyone.
Yes, find out how to watch here.
Yes, if you can't get to see either of them during the service then contact us and we will set this up for you.
Sure, just submit it here.
