FOR 10 YEARS NOW, Ruddington has been part of our church vision, and in our first major proactive step towards establishing a permanent church in the village we are holding some evening services to 'test the waters'.
We are an authentic, vibrant group of people whose lives have been quite literally turned upside down, and these kind of experiences are too good to keep to ourselves, that's why we want to help spread the joy into the great village of Ruddington.
We're thankful for the relationships we have with the other local ministers (Andrew, Sam and Simon) and look forward to developing links with the other churches so that we can help build on the outstanding work that they already do in the community.
We are all one family together, but like all families we all have our unique personalities. So what are we like? We're imperfect people doing our best to serve a perfect God; we're organised but informal; more loud than quiet; and we take the scriptures seriously but take ourselves less seriously.
So if you want an accessible way of finding out more about God first hand, are just curious, or if you've simply got nothing better to do on a Sunday evening, then please do join us for one or all of these nights!
We guarantee that you will get something from these nights, if you don't we'll give you a full refund on your offering money! (Actually we wont be asking for any money during these services, because we're not after your money.) Actually, we would like to give you something! As well as a short engaging, life-relevant sermon that you can take away and apply in your life, we want to offer the opportunity on these nights for people to receive healing prayers. We believe fully in a God who restores us both physically as well as spiritually, so it would be a privilege to pray for anyone who is currently ill - whether its back pains or headaches, arthritis or cancer - we will stand with you and believe for a miracle.
Sunday 16th February
Sunday 22nd March
Sunday 26th April
All services 6.30 - 7.30pm at St Peter's Rooms, Ruddington. Refreshments served from 6.00pm.
Roughly speaking, something like this:
Nope. Come in whatever you feel most comfortable.
Sorry, not for these services. However, if you have a baby or toddler you are welcome to sit at the back with them where we will have a few soft toys out.
Of course. But we're definitely not looking for other church members to join us. Our main goal is to introduce people to a living God who wants to have a loving relationship with them.
Nothing. Everything to gain.
Short answer: We don't know. Slightly longer answer: After these dates we will review the services and what energy and desire there is for something more permanent.
Mainly because we don't want to rush ahead of ourselves and not be able to sustain something longer term. The Rock Church vision is to be one church in multiple locations, so in the mean time anyone is welcome to join us at our Sunday morning services in West Bridgford.
